Welt Krieg Schwejk
The brave soldier Švejk and the great war.
Remember Belgium, but do not forget the cruel war in the Balcan region. With this scenic interpretation of the famous novel of the Czech author Jaroslav Hašek, the play focuses on the absurd and brutal regime of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the resistance of the brave soldier Švejk against bureaucracy, militarism and the crime of war. Schwejk will be played by a woman actor, to demonstrate the universal character of this unique figure of the world literature.
